I am so tired of dealing with the stuff of the universe, and it's only Monday.

I won't get into everything that's going on. I will only say that it really sucks that a painting of a photograph can't be made into a print. I have seen others do it before, I can point out SO many different artists who are currently selling prints with trademarked elements, but apparently, I am the one who can't.

So, what else can I say but, print it. I really don't care, you go and you print whatever the heck you want of my stuff and you hang it on your wall. The fact that you would want something that I worked long and hard on, on your wall means so much to me.

*sigh* Back to dealing with crud...

the others are breaking the rules to.   just because they do it, dosen't mean you can and should profit on someone else's property.

painting over something dosen't make it yours 100%.  but you know, not all people are uppity.

I am sure if you were a professional photographer you would be so happy to see someone making money by painting over something they did.

or if you were the copyright holder to a movie, you would be over joyed to see someone something that involved painting over your copyright.

if you want to paint over photos, use your own

I give your trolling a C grade. If you're going to troll me, at least have the courtesy to use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Below is your corrected troll:

Ouch!  Is this trolling?  I'm not even sure what that means in this case.   Anyway, I'm with you on printing art out.  I put my stuff out there pretty hi res, and if anyone wants to print it out go ahead, I'm just glad you want it.  But the fact of the matter is the law guarantees that someones work is their work, and if you paint a photo that's been copyrighted then it's a violation.  The music equivalent is when Vanilla Ice did Ice Ice Baby and had to pay royalties to Queen and Bowie for lifting the main track from Under Pressure.  Anything I paint that's from a photo, I don't intend or expect to sell unless I get an ok.  I've done this before, and most folks haven't had a problem.  Marcus Ranum was really pretty cool about using his stock for this.
Your paintings are really lifelike and detailed.  I imagine they look uncannily like some of the photos you did them from.
